Ascentt Systems Inc is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Data Scientist based in Plano, TX. Responsibilities will include: Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Design, develop, and evaluate highly innovative Machine Learning models, statistical and optimization methods using a wide variety of techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, semi-supervised learning, and active learning algorithms. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Create graphs, charts, or other visualizations to convey the results of data analysis using specialized software. Compare models using statistical performance metrics, such as loss functions or proportion of explained variance. Work within full Data Science life cycle from conception to building, improving, prototyping, testing, deploying, and measuring its overall business value. Leverage statistics, time series analysis, EDA etc. to understand certain trends/patterns and apply data visualizations to evaluate the impact of data-driven content. Test, validate, and reformulate models to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes of interest. Work closely with different stakeholders across the organization including the leadership, partners, customers, and other engineers to identify and formalize Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for creating business value and contributing to strategic decision-making. Collaborate with other Data Scientists and Data Engineers to work towards the vision and improve Data Science practice within the organization. Position requires 50% national travel.
Position requires Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Science or a related field.
